简介
Castrol Braycote 601 EF是一种光滑的、黄油状的、半透明的、白色的NLGI#2润滑脂。它的基油(Castrol Brayco 815Z)是一种全氟聚醚，化学阻性超强，极不易挥发，耐温范围广。该润滑脂无毒，不燃烧，在生产制造过程中不使用任何氟氯化碳。Castrol Braycote 601 EF在四球EP测试中显示超高的负重能力，而且它含有一种抗锈抗腐蚀的成分，可很好地保护其它成分。可以用Castrol Fluoroclean X100或Castrol Fluoroclean HE来清除此润滑剂。参考Castrol Fluoroclean X100和Castrol Fluoroclean HE的资料板，可了解它们的产品信息。 含二硫化钼的Castrol Braycote 601 EF也可以用于需要抗腐蚀和耐高压添加剂的场合。

用途
Castrol Braycote 601 EF本来是设计用于火箭燃料和氧化剂以及高真空领域。Castrol Braycote 601 EF经常用于太空领域，包括航天飞机和人造卫星。对于一些危险化学或极端环境条件下，如果不能使用普通的润滑脂，也可以考虑使用该产品。典型的应用领域有滚球轴承、滚筒轴承、齿轮、以及作为一种装配润滑剂用于矿石和人造橡胶。全氟润滑脂，如Castrol Braycote 601 EF，由于其本身的不活泼性，保存期限较长。

局限性

Description

Castrol Braycote®601 EF is a smooth, buttery, translucent, off-white, NLGI #2 grease. Its base oil (Castrol Brayco®

815Z) is a perfluorinated polyether, with exceptional chemical resistance, extremely low volatility, and a wide temperature

service range. The grease is non-toxic, nonflammable, and does not use any chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) during

product manufacture. This product exhibits unusually high load-carrying capabilities as measured by the Four-Ball EP

Test, and contains a rust and corrosion inhibitor for extra component protection. Castrol Brayco®IC X-100 can be used

to remove this lubricant. Refer to the Brayco IC X-100 data sheet for further information.

Application

Braycote 601 EF is designed to operate in the presence of rocket fuels and oxidizers and high vacuum. It is frequently

used in space applications including the Space Shuttle and satellites. It should also be considered in any application

where a hostile chemical or extreme environmental conditions would preclude the use of an ordinary grease. Typical

applications include ball and roller bearings, gears, and as an assembly lubricant for O-rings and elastomers.

Perfluorinated greases, such as this product, exhibit excellent shelf life due to their intrinsic inertness.

Limitations

Braycote 601 EF is compatible with most commonly utilized materials, plastics, and elastomers. It may be adversely

affected by Lewis Acid Catalysts such as aluminum chloride, at elevated temperatures. Newly exposed rubbing surfaces

of aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys may react with this product under certain conditions. Such systems

should be thoroughly evaluated. Surfaces must be well cleaned of organic rust inhibitors prior to grease application to

insure proper lubrication. This product is not recommended for use in applications under high vacuum with loads

exceeding 100,000 psi for extended periods of time.
