PrepMaster and PrepLink are sample control systems for sample taking, sample transport, sample preparation and sample analysis.

HERZOG PrepMaster systems are employed in many sectors of the raw materials industry.

The features of the Prepmaster system are:

• IBM compatible PC platform running under WIN2000
• Dynamic display of laboratory and pneumatic transport operating conditions, as well as active samples.
• Management of individual samples (priority, machine parameters, etc.).
• Reporting and archiving of laboratory alarms, messages, and events.
• Broadcasting of laboratory activity to remote terminals.
• playback function allows recreation of past laboratory conditions, including sample tracking and alarm broadcast.
• Standard communication and mechanical interface to analytical instruments.
• Communication to customer's Level II system via Ethernet
• Can be offered in a dual configuration for redundancy.

Air Tube Systems for Sample Transport

Air tube systems are commonly used in basic industries for the transport of  powder- and metal samples. The samples are taken from the process in the plant and send  to the laboratory for preparation and analysis.

Pressurized air drives the transport carriers  through the transport tubes. HERZOG uses steel tubing with a smooth inner surface, and carriers  made of steel or a synthetic material that do not require a leather end cap seal. The transportation speed is a direct function of carrier back pressure and change in vertical elevation.

In simple systems the sample is places into the carrier and the introduction of the carrier into the system is manually. HERZOG supplies manually operated sending- and receiving stations of a robust design for industrial use.
